Munich, Germany (P4)

Karlsplatz

Munich, Germany (P1)

The city center is were one can find everything from shops, cafes, restaurants, department stores, supermarkets, the main underground station and more.

We usually start at the main entrance of the Karlsplatz (Fountain) and walk our way through to the Marienplatz, Maximilianstrasse and even back to the apartment.

Many of the workers in the shops and cafes are Arabs and even Muslims. It was so easy to find Halal food and even praying area.

Here are the department stores we came across in the area:

Hirmer is a department store that caters to men. It has a wide selection of casual to business attire, leather goods and accessories and even the plus size. Brands range from high-end to contemporary.

Galeria Kaufhof , a department store found across Germany. It caters to the whole family with medium priced products such as clothes, accessories, leather goods, home accessories, toys and more.

Oberpollinger, my personal favorite. A department store that caters to the whole family from fashion and lifestyle, beauty and care to restaurants. One can find many High-end brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Ralph Lauren and much more and contemporary brands such as All Saints, Marc'o Polo to highstreet brands such as Topshop and Comma'. Arab staff are found there wich makes it easy to communicate with and also Prayer area for Muslims is available.

Konen A department store that caters to the whole family from fashion and lifestyle. High-end brands and Highstreet brands both are available along with a nice cafe too.

Ludwig Beck is also a department store that caters to the whole family from fashion and lifestyle. High-end brands and Highstreet brands.

There is also Karstadt another favorite of mine found across Germany that caters to the whole family from fashion and lifestyle with high to medium priced products such as clothes, accessories, leather goods, home accessories, toys and more. unfortunately I do not have a picture for this one.

To be continued...
